DATA IN CONTEXT
A Number Is Not a Human Being.
Lab results can tell us something about biology. They cannot tell us, by themselves, how well someone is thinking, functioning, or living.
Nutrient levels, thyroid function, blood sugar, and other markers can provide useful information. But a result is only one part of a much larger picture.
The point isn't to hunt for something wrong. It's to understand what the data can tell us—and what it can't.
Lab testing is provided through Fullscript. Testing availability and physician authorization requirements vary by state and test type.
WHY ACCESS MATTERS TO ME
You shouldn't have to fight to understand your own body.
After 25 years working in mental health, I’ve seen how easily the conversation can stop at symptoms.
Fatigue. Brain fog. Changes in mood. Difficulty concentrating.
Sometimes we need to look beyond those symptoms and ask whether biological factors might be contributing.
That doesn’t mean everyone needs more testing. And a lab result doesn’t explain everything.
But people deserve access to information that helps them ask better questions and make informed decisions.
That’s why I support making foundational lab testing more accessible, while recognizing when professional interpretation matters.
HOW LAB TESTING WORKS
From Questions to Information.
A straightforward way to explore laboratory testing while keeping the distinction between data, interpretation, and decisions clear.
Explore Your Options
Review available laboratory tests and consider which measurements are relevant to your questions. More testing is not automatically better testing.
Complete Your Testing
Fullscript provides information about ordering, eligibility, and collection requirements. Follow the instructions provided for your selected laboratory tests.
Review Your Results
Examine your reported measurements and laboratory reference ranges. A result can provide useful information without explaining every symptom or establishing a diagnosis.
Put Results in Context
Consider results alongside your health history, symptoms, and other relevant information. Discuss findings with a qualified healthcare professional when appropriate before making health decisions.
THE LAB SPOT
Buy the Rotisserie Chicken When It Solves Three Meals
Rotisserie chicken is not a culinary shortcut to apologize for. When you portion it with a plan, it can cover several easy meals with protein, B vitamins, and less weeknight effort.
More information. Not automatic certainty.
Laboratory results can inform better questions. Understanding what they can—and cannot—tell you is just as important.
What this is.
Another window into your biology.
Labs can add information about factors relevant to brain health and capacity.
Data to put in context.
Results belong alongside your history, medications, nutrition, symptoms, and how you actually function.
A way to ask better questions.
Sometimes the value of testing isn't an answer. It's knowing what deserves a closer look.
What this isn't.
Not a medical appointment.
Dr. Teralyn does not order, prescribe, or authorize these labs. She holds a PhD, not a medical degree.
Not a diagnosis.
A lab result alone cannot establish what's causing a symptom or change in function.
Not a prescription for what to do next.
This information does not replace individualized medical evaluation or medical decision-making.
Not proof that more data means more certainty.
Sometimes information clarifies the picture. Sometimes it changes the question.
Better information matters. So does knowing its limits.
INFORMED DECISIONS BEGIN WITH BETTER QUESTIONS
Understand More. Assume Less.
Laboratory testing can provide another piece of information about your health. The value isn't simply having more numbers. It's understanding which measurements are relevant, what they establish, and what remains uncertain.
