I don’t know about you, but where I’m at in the midwest the winter blues are the real deal! Sadness, irritability and difficulty with sleep tend to hit hard just after the holidays. They ramp up in January and February and by March we are all looking forward to spring!
If you are like me and you struggle during the winter months with bad mood, sadness and low energy you are most likely experiencing the winter blues or more aptly named Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD.
SAD effects more than 20% of the population with the highest numbers of people located where the sunlight is short, and the weather is bad. So, if you have SAD what should you do?
There are a number of ways to help you ward off the winter blues (I know because I do most of them!).
